Kaity's Journey:

July 30, 2008 - I flew out of Eugene on Saturday morning, July 19th, and reached Tampa, Florida around 4:30 in the afternoon, boy was it humid and HOT.  After getting a flat tire and attacked by some fire ants on the side of the freeway, we made it to the house we all (the girls) are staying at.  Saturday and Sunday we waited for everyone to arrive and spent time getting to know each other.  We have students from all over the place, like Germany, Canada, Korea, England, Florida and even one other girl from Oregon, in all we have 11 of us girls and 6 boys, not counting the staff.

Monday after arriving we went to The Christian Edge, a cafe and coffee house where we are having our lectures and discipleship training classes, the owners and employees dedicated their business and property to the Lord, we staked out the property with marking stakes with scripture and anointed the [property line with oil, it was so cool.

We spent the first week sharing our testimonies with everyone, we are all a lot alike and yet so different.

God has been speaking to all of our hearts, refining and tearing down hurts and our pasts and rebuilding us for His good works.

We've been on a couple of street outreach evenings in Tampa and we even went to a Rap Hip Hop Church, the worship music wasn't quite my thing, but the speaker that night was really good.  

As the 2nd week is drawing to an end we are preparing to head onward; here's our itinerary:

Mon Aug 20 Philadelphia Pennsylvania
Mon Aug 27 New York New York for 2 weeks on an outreach mission...
Mon Sept 8 Chicago
Mon Sept 15 Kansas City
Sun Sept 21 Salt Lake City Utah
Mon Sept 29 Las Vegas...
Mon Oct 6-14or so in San Francisco
drive to LA. then fly to Auckland New Zealand doing out reach for 8 weeks.

From Mom:

We know and are praying for the financial needs to be met - and we believe that this will come to be.  God did tell her to go - and so she went....Matthew 9:37..  This is where Kaity's financial needs are at right now..... by the first week in August she will need to have  $1,500.00 to book the ticket to New Zealand, and by October 14th she will have to have another $1,300.00 for the lodging, travel and food in New Zealand.

I talk to Kaity almost every day - God is working in her life and heart - there seems to be a lot of tearing down and rebuilding being done.  She's excited to be where she's at.  And is looking forward to the awesome things God has in store for her during this trip.  It's so great to listen to her and to see the changes God is doing in her life and heart.  Amen and Amen and Amen.
